Default Best fix for scratched paint?

Leather strap from tool bag left a few marks on front fender. Not terrible but bad enough. Any products out there worth trying before I dump a bunch of cash into this? Factory paint job Black. Much obliged!

Put your tool bag on top of the headlight.

If it is not deep scratches , rubbing compound and wax will take it out but if it is something that your fingernail will catch , it is too deep.

I used this kit on my factory black to repair some scratches left by the dash panel and the top of the fender from the passenger pillion rubbing. Did almost the entire top of the tank and top of the fender. As long as the scratches aren't through the clear they should come out. HD uses minimal color coats and a lot of clear, so if its just from straps rubbing, you should be good. Just take your time and go a little at a time if you choose to use the included sandpaper. I also picked up a bottle of good polishing compund as I found the stuff in the kit left the finish just a little cloudy.

I've been using Glare for the least year or so. I've tried em all but this stuff truly works wonders!!

I use the Spider product first, follow the instructions and then finish with the pro polish - scratches really do seem to disappear particularly if they're only in the clear......

I'll try and cheer you up.

Imagine what the side of your bike would look like after 35 miles when you forget to close the side solo bag.
