Default rear brake line.CAUTION!!!

My 13 classic when upon removing saddle bags I noticed something that is a safety concern. The rear brake line is in contact at the swing arm pivot point there is excessive wear on the line an on
my bike, there is a pretty fair amount of wear at 4000 miles. Just to let you all know to look & check. Calling my dealership today. Hope its covered under warranty. It should be a re-call fix, but I'm sure the company won't.

I'm sure you'll have no problem getting that fixed under warranty.
That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. They'd be foolish not to.

Yeah, I hope more owners look at they're bikes closely, as I did, to avoid a serious situation. I looked at all the heritages at a dealership yesterday & the brake lines are rubbing the swing arm pivot as well. Thanks jam.

You'd think at least a service bulletin there. Moco ever do a recall?

Oh hell yeah... enough so that they set up a web page where you can check.
..and there must be a bunch because they set it up so that you can only check on your specific bike (by VIN#)...

Of course they do recalls. They recalled my '89 Sportster for an issue where the positive battery cable could rub through the insulation and short against the frame. I'm sure that would have been fun.
