Thanks a lot usadefender1977, compliments coming from other Brothers, other riders, people who know whats going on means very much to me more so over a person who knows nothing or just a person looking at it. I'm honored by a lot of guys here who have a far sweeter bike than I have and then to have those same riders compliment me and my bike? I take pride in that.
EDIT: That's why I am having trouble with painting my bike. The black and white turned out far better than I thought it would. That's why I had white put on all my seats n backrests, white plug wires and hand grips. Those little touches, as subtle as they are, really makes it pop, IMHO!!!

I'm just an old dude from the Midwest but that style of bike really speaks to me. So much so that when an 05 black and white Deluxe showed up at the dealer last fall that was absolutely pristine like it never left the showroom that I snatched it up on the spot while three others were outside considering it. I went inside and wrote a check to the dealer.
I don't plan any motor work which is part of the style but I will go for the rims, apes and fishtails. There is a good painter in this area and I'm thinking of a scheme that is on a 58 FLH at the dealers. Kind of a red and cream. I only plan on taking it to some local shows. Should be the only example there.
For those that think the bikes should be ridden. I agree totally with that. To that end I ride over 30,000 miles a year. But, with 17 bikes in the garage they don't see daylight that much. Just Sta-Bil and battery tenders and wait their turn.
