While I applaud your choice, the Slim is an awesome looking bike.
I think the first criterion in picking a bike should not be based on it fitting you.
I think you should pick the bike you like best first, then you can have fun making it yours.

Agreed, I was looking at buying the Street Bob because I am really into the bobber style. while at the local HD dealership I saw the Slim and immediately fell in love. I have sat on every bike new & used there and just love the Slim. attached is a pic of close to what I am planning on doing to it.

Jam436, man God bless you and your family. Life is fragile and short, and over far too soon at times. Keep your head up and keep living your life. This is a great challenge in honor of your wife and I hope my submission will do.

I first met my wife 13 years ago this month at this restaurant. It was a different place then and I can't recall the name at the time. We were both recently separated from our equally crazy spouses, and a co-worker of mine and her daughter fixed us up for a blind lunch date. We hit it off and have not looked back since. Here we are in our front yard last October with our oldest grandson (yeah, I know the date stamp is wrong).

If this works, the next challenge is your bike, GOS, in front of a roadside fireworks stand in honor of the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

Woo hoo, first one!

If this is good, I'd like to stick with the theme- Your bike, GOS, in front of a LARGE American flag- not the standard 3'x5' house size, but some LARGE flag (at least 6' x 10' size)- use your best judgement. Make sure you can see the bike and the stars/stripes in at least part of the picture- even if it's further off in the distance.

Got it! First pic is in front of Infantry Museum, second is an old entrance to FT. Benning

Next up. In keeping with 4th of july theme. Nothing says America more than your Bike w/GOS and a Baseball stadium, field etc... Major league, minor, tee ball don't matter.

Well, I'm a new guy here - just traded in the 1200C for her yesterday, so I figured I'd jump in and pick up where I left off in the sportster pic challenge thread.

So here she is in front of the local baseball field at our town beach. Wish I could have gotten a shot from behind home plate, but the road is too busy to pull over there. Not having read the whole thread, (and not having seen it before) I'm assuming GOS=Gear on Seat. If not and I'm missing something, I apologize in advance.

Assuming this is acceptable, how about a picture of your Softail at an ice cream stand or with an ice cream truck, since it's that time of year. And I like ice cream.

GOS is for glasses on seat...no need to disrobe to win a challenge.
Nice to see some new players adding to the game.

Ha ha....well, they are there, hiding under the helmet! And very glad to be here. I really like these photo challenge threads, as without a specific goal in mind, I have a tendency to pick the same few routes when I'm going out for short rides after work, etc. These make me think about new places to ride!
