The end of the license plate bracket is adjustable. Pull your license plate off, remove the center bolt holding the slide out plate on, remove the slide out plate, and turn your license plate vertical. Tada! I did the same thing on mine until my real vertical plate holder gets here.

You take the center bolt out....turn the outer portion of the plate holder so the the end that has the bend in it is towards to ground. I went to the hardware store and got two bolts, then you'll see how to line it up vertically.
So - do you need extra bolts - do you need a different bracket - which is it???

I'm a little confused - one person says there is nothing to changing the plate orientation - one says to add 2 bolts. For the mechanically challenged - which is it - I want to turn my plate vertical.

Quickie:
1. Remove the 2 bolts holding your license plate on.
2. Remove the adjustment bolt in the center that holds the 2 halves of the frame together.
3. Store the outer half of the frame and the adjustment bolt.
4. Use those 2 bolts to mount the plate vertically using the 2 upper slots in what remains of the plate holder. It ain't pretty, but it's free.
