I searched the forums and cant find an answer.

I am looking for Black 16" Spoke wheels. Front and Rear for an FLSTSC Springer Classic. Just plain old 40 spoke. Black rim and black hub. I thought about getting the Crossbones FLSTSB front wheel and the Softail Slim rear wheel. The cost is about $1300 for the pair new from Harley.

I thought about taking mine apart and having them powdercoated. But even that is expensive and more down time. I realize buying separate wheels will cost more, but I will have two sets of wheels for the trouble.

I tried looking at Paughco. They dont list any for this bike.


I hear the horror stories of all the problems you all have with different manufacturers. So, who has wheels ready to ship? And quality? I dont want crap that I will have to replace in a couple years. And I dont want to wait forever for wheels. I give them money, they ship me wheels.

ps Harley parts said the axle might have changed sizes from 2007 Fl springers to the Fl springer on the Bones. is that correct? or can I use the crossbones front wheel?

Also looking for a set of tires. Coker, firestone ish. Something for my 3 miles of dirt road. I am adding a sidecar once its done. I am looking for a tire to match the retro theme. (but safe)

 

anyone? i really am having a hard time finding plain 40 spoke wheels for this bike. (at a reasonable cost)
