Default Heritage passenger pillion

I ran into a guy who has a "touring" wide passenger pillion that fits my Heritage. (51763-07)
It's 2" wider than the stock pillion and has studs that match the driver's seat (I don't understand why Harley didn't stud the stock pillion in the first place).

My little Lady says she's comfortable with the stock pillion and doesn't really think the wider seat will add any comfort for her. I might add that she does have a little ***.

I've read that this "touring" pillion tilts forward a bit which causes the rider to constantly slide forward during braking or hard shifting, so some don't like it.

The guy wants $75 for the pillion which is about $100 off retail so the price is right, however even if something's a good price it doesn't mean one should buy it.

Anyway, does anyone have an opinion on whether or not this "touring" pillion is better, worst, or the same as the stock pillion?

Thanks,

I have a FB Lo.
Girlfriend is petite and has a small ***.
She hated the stock seat, so I bought this one (Looks like it might be the same without the studs) -

She doesn't like this one either. Although, I still haven't gotten the backrest put on yet so that might help things.
Looks like I may be forced to add a Street Glide to the garage in addition to the Lo.
I MUST keep her happy! LMAO

Yea let's face it; it's all about keeping the little woman happy.
My little woman was happy yesterday so she made me happy last night

Let's face it when it comes to a Harley add-on, $75 isn't much of a risk.
Anyone who's own a Harley for longer than a year more than likely has a at least a few "$75" items in the garage with the tag "what was I thinking" on it.

I might just buy it anyway and see how she likes it.
For $75 I can probably get my money back on e-Bay if she doesn't like it.

I went ahead and picked up the pillion.
For $75 I just couldn't pass it up.

If the little lady doesn't like it, I'll post it on HD Forum and pass the deal on.

Thanks,

My wife wouldn't get on my bike with a gun to her head. Tossed the passenger pad the day after I bought it.

Wife has a bad tail bone. old injury from youth.

the stock 07 pillion really sucked, about 1/2 hr was all she could ride with it. She 5'2'' and 115#s.. After I installed the touring seat and Floorboards she can ride 3-4 hrs without a break.

The touring is doesn't tilt forward and not only wider but its also at least 1 1/2'' taller which nets the passenger a lot better over all ride.

Get it and you/SHE'll be happy once U put it on.
