Default Turn Signal Issue

Wifie rides an 04 Heritage. Today the left turn signal started acting up. Every time she turned the ignition switch on, the left turn signals (front & rear) started blinking. Pressing the switch did nothing. To shut it off she had to press the right side switch to activate that one, then press it again to shut it off. Pressing the left switch would not turn it back on. Took the housing apart enough to get it off the handlebar & everything looks clean. Don't think it is a wire/ground issue as both blinkers work normally when the ignition switch is turned on & stays working until she presses the right switch twice.
Is not showing any codes.
I'm thinking the turn signal/security module is going bad.....
Anyone have any other ideas/suggestions???????????????
Thanks for the help.

Happened to me because of a pinched wire in the left hand control housing on the handlebars.

My bike is doing the same exact thing. Did you ever figure out the issue? Thanks.

my 18 fatboy did this and it turned out to be a bulb. found it very quickly. i couldnt believe it. never seen this before on a motorcycle or a car. go figure. i really think it was the socket cause the bulb still wont work correct if i put the bulb in all the way. but its still working correctly. but every time i start it i look to make sure its working
