My current ride (and second FLSTN) was a similar garage queen -- bought it last November with about 6K miles on it. IMO the Deluxe is the best all-round bike I've ever owned, fine for cruising around the neighborhood or heading out on a two-week roadtrip (riding this one up to Sturgis this year). I've put some long days in the Deluxe saddle (~650 miles) without a problem. Some folks complain about the stock seat, and I did too when I bought my first Deluxe. Another Deluxe owner advised me to ride it for a thousand miles before changing the seat; I did that and never changed it!

I agree with everything said here. I went from a vstar to the deluxe. It is truly a beautiful bike that caters to the vertically challenged, (I'm 5'6") I rode it for the first time last night and opened the door to check it out before i went to bed. Your mind will be constantly working on what to do next. Congrats.
