Default Question about Speedo/Tach combo (7090070A/7090072A)

I just got mine in and installed it and everything seems to be as advertised but the fuel gauge on the speedo doesn't show anything. I have the HD LED fuel gauge already installed on the bike and I'm curious is it conflicting somehow? Does anyone else have this set up and it works for you?

I'm heading out to fill the tank up and ride for a little bit to see if it has to "calibrate" or something. Thanks in advance.

I bet after you fill it up it will calibrate full, then it will work as it supposed to.

Mine shows empty with about 15 miles till I'm walking.

I love mine.

Mine has the option to turn the fuel gauge off. Did you turn it on?

I have the LED gauge as well and have been considering this speedo. Interested on hearing how you make out...

what he said. there's an option to toggle the fuel gauge and/or gear indicators off. I'd check that first.

Yea I made sure its on, it displays the gauge but there are no segments to show any fuel level. The gear indicator doesn't work but then again it's not supposed to on a 2006 so I'm not worried about it. I just want to know if this is supposed to be like this with the LED gas gauge or if there's a problem with my speedo and I need to return it.

As others have said, it needs to calibrate itself. Give it a few solid fills to see if it starts showing more accurate fuel readings. Your LED gauge shouldn't affect your speedo.

I'll ride the hell out of it tomorrow and see what comes of it. Right now it shows as if I'm completely empty but the low fuel light is not on. I'll be sure to follow up with the results.

I have the HD led gas gage mod, and I just installed this speedo/tach.

Gas gage tracked exactly with the LEDs from the start. Never required any calibration.
