Default softail suspension help

I have a 2004 Fatboy looking to put air ride on it I found a set up from 99 and older just wondering if I can make this fit my bike and if not what exactly is different in the shocks thanks

The attachment points on both ends of the 99 and earlier have eyes on both ends with bolts that go through them where the later ones have a straight bolt on one end that goes through a hole In the frame with a couple of rubber bushings. I know this is probably as clear as mud, but I do not think you can make the earlier ones fit on the newer ones.
