I've got the lowering bolts. Had her slammed 3", but it was hitting the bumpers over bumps, drove me nuts even with the pre=load cranked up. So I had to raise her up 1" (as she sits in the pic). I had the belt rub over bumps when it was slammed, no more after raising. I've read the narrow belt is the cure or go to a chain.

Dd you take out your bump stops? You normally can't go low enough to rub the belt

Chit,, I wouldn't worry... Looking COOL is what's it all about..

If the belt goes south.. and U don't kill Urself in the effects of that..

Well then It'll only cost about $500-700 to get a new belt put on.

I believe it is not the 'narrow belt' but the fact that newer (07 and up) bikes with narrow belt had different engines and different front sprockets/rear pulley sizes which brought down the belt a quarter of an inch or so which did not have it rubbing.
