Oil leak on my 125 mile Breakout!
Riding season is upon us in Chicago! It was almost 70 so I got out for a little while and when I parked the bike, I noticed oil on the engine right at the point where the oil lines go into the motor. They look like bolts that connect the lines from the oil bag, but I don't think that they are. I'm getting pipes put on today and they said its o-rings and a fitting....is this a reason for alarm? I'm sure they are going to fix it, but its a little dis-heartening to have an oil leak on a 125 mile, $27000 bike

On a bike that new with that few miles I would worry just yet. Things work lose or were never tightened down. Like said before, don't worry until it happens after it's been "fixed."
If it still bothers you I could take it off your hands. Don't want that clunker staining your driveway do ya?

Yup, like everyone says. I wouldn't worry about it. The dealer will fix it. Now if it happens again, then you can be worried. My Kaw ZX14R developed serious transmission problems at only 40 miles. The engine/transmission had to be removed to repair a faulty machined shifter fork. The detent on the shifter fork was not machined in the right place therefore it caused the transmission to pop out of gear. I was pissed but what could I do. The dealer fixed it right away. My bike was at the dealer for two weeks.(mostly because I had to wait for parts) Ok, and this too, my 2013 H-D Breakout had a faulty fork lock when new. I couldn't lock the forks. I wasn't happy because this should have been checked at prep. It took 3 weeks to get the part. But when the part came in, I dropped off my Breakout at the dealer and they had my lock replaced the same day. So, it is what it is. As long as the dealer takes care of it correctly the first time, I am good with it.
