I recently figured out that I have low fuel pressure. I checked the lines, they were okay. I decided to bypass the regulator and see what the pressure was coming from the fuel pump, it read 35psi. Is it common the fuel pump goes bad? Its a 2006 with 34,000 miles.

 

I haven't really heard of any issues with the pumps. Could you tell me what your symptoms where? I've been having problems with mine. Thanks, Mike

 

Is this on a Sporty or your softail?

 

Could be pin holes in the fuel line within the tank. It is common problem and a relatively easy fix.

Common symptoms are hesitation when 1/2 full or less, but problem "fix" themselves when the tank is full.
