havin a problem with my softtail its snortin back through the carb when i let off on throtle can some one help me out

 

I'm not sure I understand. It's been 12 years since I had a carb. Do you mean it gasps and sucks or gulp's air when you let off? Does it also do it when you shut your bike off? The only thing I can think of is it's working to hard to get air for some reason. Have you changed your air intake in any way and do you have a very clean filter? A 2nd thought would be your fuel/air ratio is out of whack. It's like it can't keep up between transition from full throttle to idle, dirty throttle possibly? Hanging up on you? I'm just throwing those few things out there for food for thought. Good luck and I would be interested in what the fix was too when you get it figured out and fixed.
