softail custom headlight question
#2
The only real issue here, that I'm aware of, is physical space. If you can make it fit, with an adaptor, or even some custom mount then it will work.
I had a dual headlight system on my 2000 Softail for years, it mounted with a custom mount that I had fabricated. Then I went to a much larger, custom cross headlight (thing was actually in the shape of a cross, not just the bulb, the entire headlight) which was more of a traditional mount. I didn't worry about maintaining the original headlight plug for either, just cut the wires and hard wired them in.
Electrically, its just wire connections (or a plug if you keep it) and possibly, just possibly mind you, a different fuse if the bigger light draws more power, most likely won't even need that.
