I like it, it does that style of bike big time justice. Chrome for me though. I think a little chrome right there would blend well and it would really set off all the black you have on your bike. I am a self admitted chrome ***** so I guess I am a bit biased as well. I also agree it would be easier to black out a chromed part verse chrome a black part too, JMHO.

Interesting you guys unearthed this thread cuz as of yesterday I don't have to photoshop what a black-outed front end looks like on my bike. And I get the S&S muscle cover in chrome today when UPS arrives.

Crappy camera phone pics in the evening taken yesterday. Put the black axle caps on after I took this pic. S&S chrome muscle cover to be added tonight:

Slightly better pic I took this morn. Can't wait to put the chrome muscle cover on it tonight.

Blacked out forks and chrome muscle cover installed. Don't need photoshop anymore.

I didn't realize this at the time I did mine, but you can also get those shroud side strips in black for about $9 a pair...

H-D P/N 68055-10BHP - Trim strip, black (2), for triple tree cover - $8.95
(page 271 in the '13 catalog)

I threw mine into the parts box when I went to the PC'er, turns out I didn't need them anyway - they come off when you install aux. lights.

That A/C cover looks great...

EDIT: Ooops, my bad - they're $8.95 each...

Thanks. And the bike runs a little faster now with the exposed air filter. Or maybe it's just in my head.

I think I'm going to keep the chrome trim strip. I like a little chrome to offset the black. Matter of fact, I'm pretty much done with my bike now. Just gonna ride.

Me too, pretty much.
I have the analog speedo/tach on order right now, then I may look at different fuel gauge/gas cap combos and some grips.
Just a couple of minor cosmetic things left now...
