Yes the headlight trim ring is a bear to install. We have the Truck lite 7" on our '12 FLSTC and with the stock trim ring the truck lite stuck out like a sore thumb.
The install if I remember right is to mount the trim ring on the top tabs first and then slowly and with a little force work the trim ring down and around the lite.
The mounting screw seems to be to short but with a little firm squeezing of the trim ring towards the lower mounting tab the screw will work just right.
Hope this helps.

I've got the visor trim ring on mine. I just fitted it in at the bottom first then pressed it evenly up both sides until it stopped at those two tabs. Then I gave it a couple of pops with the heel of my hand, kinda' like we used to do to those cake pan-style hubcaps.

What part numbers did you use for both the driving light and the headlight. I have a 2012 FLHT

Looks great.

I myself got mine a few weeks ago from Eastern Performance for $360 for headlight and aux. lights.

I haven't really noticed much with the driving lights, as I don't ride at night much; but that headlight is impressive during the day.

I am curious also. The regular aux lights do kick off a nice wide range to light at night as is.
