Default Image of Spark Plug Electrode, 09 Heritage...

Changed my plugs today on the Heritage. This plug is from the rear cylinder. Engine is stock, except for Samson exhaust system. Plugs have just over 18k miles on them and the front was identical in wear and deposits to the rear.

Looks like it was more than ready to be changed.

OK, so they have 18K on them, how many years? Fuel deposits have taken there toll on them.

Yep, still has the factory EPA compliant tune which I hope to upgrade in the near future. Interestingly enough, the engine doesn't seem to run excessively hot unless it's 90+ degrees in heavy traffic.

They look a little 'rough' but not bad. I took mine out at 21,000 miles and they looked pretty much like that. Put a new set in and getting near 30,000 now. Never had a miss. Buy the way, my bike is the same year/color as yours.

They looked like the originals. I bought the bike used (dealer rental) with 10k miles on it two years ago.

Hey Gman, I'm up here in VA. Bought the bike at Rocky Mount HD in NC. Great folks to deal with and prices are a lot better there than in my area. The color combination won me over as I was getting ready to buy another in Vivid Black.

Most of my riding is in heavy stop and go traffic. Don't know if that has anything to do with the plug condition. I am also pretty heavy on the throttle too.

How does she run with the Samsons being the only part not stock?

I just bought the Samsons in 28.5" with baffles but have not purchased a new AF or a fuel management.
