i went with a 150 tire straight away, no issues at all with handling and yes it does fill the fender nicely.. plenty of talk of 'oh a wide kit makes it a FB etc etc' is nonsense to me, you could prob extrapolate that argument to most Harley mods, what matters is that you end up with a ride you enjoy.

I prob going wider than 150 anyway, the Heartland kit is way too rich versus some of the alternatives, and the only advantage seems to me to be the ability to have side bags or sissy bar, hell, im sure some skilled customs guys can figure something out on the other kits.

So does a 200 tire turn a slim into a FB? No, cos the wheels are different, the handlebars are different, the rear fender is different, the seat is different, sure still got two wheels, same frame yeah but so what?!

Speaking of wheels, and im about to open another can of worms.. i really like the Diesel Contrast cuts, 18" front and rear.. might just to that with the RSD fender kit, matching rotors and pulley... pics when its done...

I have the heartland EZ 200 kit I love it. Rides a lot betther.
