Mc should have spokes. The bad part is tubes totally suck. I had cast wheels for quite a while but now have the best of both worlds. The optional HD tubeless spoke wheels. They also have shiny spokes. They dont lose any air either. I love them.
I made the switch on my 2005 and am very happy I did. I was leery about loosing one of the most iconic features of the Fat Boy, IE the infamous disc wheels, but the second I saw the spokes and WWW's there was no turning back.
Lots of people choose to go to larger diameter wheels that better show off the spokes, but I (like you) like the traditional 16's. As far as ride, I did not notice much of a difference
BikerLaw, I think you just helped me make up my mind. You and Str8upChevy...... I've been toying with a 21" & 18" combo, or 18's front and back, Heritage fender or stay Fatboy. Seeing your bike with the 16's front and back with WWW's and the stock fender......Bike looks great. I have a 2003 anniversary and I like the heavier looking tires that you have. My apprehension wasn't losing the Disc's but breaking loose with the funds, getting the 16's and thinking I should have gone bigger, but what you and Str8upChevy have looks great. So it's 16" Fatspokes with WWW's for me. Will post pics when I do it.
Very nice ride. The spokes look great with your color, I bet they would look great on mine as well. Cost?
I'm just not digging the WWs on some of the fattys above- they're too deluxe-ish.
