Default Relatively quiet pipes for Deluxe

I just bought a 2013 red & white Deluxe after getting some advice from folks on the forum. I'm very pleased with the power as compared to a 2005 Electra Glide that I once owned, but I wouldn't mind having some more power.

Does anyone make more free flowing pipes for a Deluxe that still have a classic/traditional look while not being really loud? I know I'm in the minority, but I really like the look and sound of the stock pipes - I just don't think that I could get much more power out of the bike leaving them on.

Thanks.

i think that all pipes no matter the manufacturer oem or otherwise flow good. pipe sizes for exhaust are pretty standard across all manufactures. it's the number of bends, length of pipe, x-pipe, y-pipe or 2 and 2, and style that is going to make the difference. your pipes would be more free flowing if you just knocked out the cats and put them back on. if you want a little more noise and flow drill out the centers or go with a slip on muffler.

Enjoy your new Deluxe. That's a beautiful color combo they came out with this year.

Khrome Werks 3" Tapered. They look exactly like the stock mufflers, are high performance free flowing and are MUCH quieter than most of the other aftermarket slip-ons. I think I got mine from Dennis Kirk for about $300.00
They have a nice deep rumble much like the old glass pack mufflers on cars. They are louder than stock but not as much as most.

Vance and Hines said there slip-ons were all in the 98db range and Khrome Werks claims about 92db. A substantial difference. I asked my neighbors about them and none of them have a problem at all. They wish the other Harley on the block would get the same pipes.

Thanks. These look to be exactly what I was looking for.

Try going to some bike events or to your dealer and listen to some of the pipes. There are a lot of videos on YouTube as well. They are difficult to determine sound levels but you can get an idea of the sound itself.
I'm very happy with the Khrome Werks.
