Default FXSTB 08 Problems installing a Danny Grey Seat

Hi,

I have just purchased a Danny Grey buckcrack Solo for my 2008 Nighttrain but having problems fitting it.

The part I have is 0802-0646

Can anyone confirm that this is the correct seat for my bike?

It appears that it wont clear the wiring under the seat?

Any ideas what I am doing wrong??

I assume the connect blcok you can see nearest is the rear light cluster.. Even if I remove this the seat then lays on the emc connector??

Anyone had any similar issues?

Can you mount the fuel pak in a different place instead of under the seat to give any more room?

I had my 08 FXSTB's stock seat recovered and it fit something like that when I got it back. I think it was just the new leather was tighter maybe. I don't know if that helps but it was similar.

Maybe move your fuelpak below your rear fender (in front of your rear wheel) then you might be able to move around a few wires/ connectors.

Do you have any pics?

Do you mean mount it ontop of the ECU?

The seat is definitely resting on the connectors...

All sorted!

Moved the fuelPak to above the battery and sat the connector just under the ecu.

Fits but only JUST!
