Default Pics of Deluxe w/ NO engine guard

Does anyone have a Deluxe w/ no engine guard?

Went to Carlini's today on my Deluxe, I p/c'd my high roller riser semi-gloss black and they removed the top sticker/plate w/ the Carlini logo on it. I called Carlini and Rex (outstanding customer support) said to come on in to get the stickers/plates replaced.

When I got there, he was checking out my bike and said it would look killer w/ out the guard, so now Im kind of curios to see another Deluxe w/ out it?

From what I can see, its just 3 bolts correct? Maybe after this weekend I might take it off to check it out.

NOW - I KNOW THIS PIECE SERVES A PURPOSE OF......."just in case"

SO please save the what if this/that posts!!!

A pic of someone elses bike is not the same ~ just take it off and step back 10 ft and look at your bike and then decide if you like it.

10 minutes max to take on and off and that is getting the tools out and putting them back in the tool box also.

I thought when I bought my guard and put it on I would not like it but it grew on me and now I think it adds to the bike.

It looks way better without, same as my Heritage. But I've been known to fall off mine on occassion and kinda like the bar being there. Makes it easier to pick up. Plus I like the highway pegs. But it does look way better without, if someone is into looks over function.

If you look hard you will see I have a different kind of guard. I don't know how well is shows in the pics. It was on the bike when I bought it so I am not really even sure of the name of it but I love it. It is a 1 piece bar that just runs across the front bottom of my bike almost like 2 extended highway foot pegs. I don't like those big round things on the front of my bike. I have never seen one of these before and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I think I have more pics in my profile.

I know I don't have a Heritage but I like the engine guard for mounting my fog lights and highway pegs.

Ur bike may look cooler without them, But, if U lay her over in the garage or anywhere they will save U a bunch of $$$.

As far as protection in a wreck, Well they are not called Crash bars anymore,, there engine guards...

Had mine to go over 3-4 times in 6ys, with the guards she'll stop at about a 45* angle and not hit the floor.
