Adjure T50100 removal?
I have an 05 deuce with a custom headlight housing and an Adjure T50100 headlight. My low beams quit and I need to replace the bulb. There is a small spring on the bottom of the headlight housing attached to a plastic peice. I released the spring (which appears to do nothing) and I can't get the light out. Any one know how to remove the headlight/bulb? And can I just buy a bulb?
Thanks

I don't see how I can peel the gasket peice out, it is encased in the headlight housing. I posted a link to a few imags on photobucket. Again, the spring seems to do nothing.

If your Adjure is like my Headwinds, you'll find a small allen set screw on the bottom of the headlight housing.
You need to remove the set screw and wipe the chrome ring sitting over the lens with rubbing alcohol to remove any oil. Using rubber gloves, turn the ring counter clock wise, (It's what holds the lens and bulb inside the headlight housing).
Once the ring is removed, you can take out the lens and replace the H4 bulb with a new one. Make sure not to touch the glass of the bulb. Any finger oil will create a hot spot and shorten the life of the bulb.
When you go to reinstall the ring, use never seize on the threads. Use blue loctite on the set screw.
The arrow points to the locking ring.

Kowan,
My headlight bucket looks alot like yours, but mine does not have a set screw. I have a weird plastic (like weed wacker line/cord) that is held together by a a spring. I can take the spring off and I still can't move the locking ring.
Anyone have this type of setup and know how to remove?
Below is a photo of the underside of my headlight bucket and the spring/cord.
Thanks,

I just looked at Adjure's site, http://www.adjureinc.com/heandspburep.html
The picture shows a retaining ring, but as they state different setups might require you to give them a call.
They should be able to point you to a installation pdf file.

You will notice that some of the photos you cannot order on line. This is because there are to many veriables. You must call us so we can make sure you get the right parts the first time around.

Thanks for the quick response and great link above. I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. Just weird how I can release the spring, but nothing will turn. Maybe a little to much bug juice in there!
And great looking Rocker by the way.
Update: After looking at the ADJURE site from your link I found some instructions. I will try them out tomorrow. And post how it goes. Hopefully this thread will help someone else out.

Well I got the light out by following the instructions. It was easier to push on the face of the light to get the even pressure to release the cord. Thanks for the help and links to the info I needed. Now, I need to do some research on some good bulbs and I will be ready to reassemble.
Thanks,
Thanks,
