Default rear fender conversion question

i have an 03 standard
im looking at a blackline rear fender, its 7.25 inches wide, same as the heritage fender i have on now...
my question is about the mounting holes...
will the mounting holes in my rear fender frame/strut line up with the holes in the blackline fender?
im aware of the difference in the strut covers...

i searched and couldnt find a definitive answer...
local dealer is no help...
they dont think outside the box...

I looked into this for my 05' before going the 200mm rear tire route.

The Blackline fender will not bolt directly to your struts. The older 00-05' struts come up more vertical off of the frame mount before bending and running rearward along the fender.

If you use the Blackline struts, you will have to cut your stock struts from the frame and use a newer seat as well.

Best bet would be to use the Blackline fender and mount it to your struts by drilling holes and filling the unused ones before repaint.

This is just what I ran into...your mileage may vary and hopefully someone who completed the swap can offer more insight.

If you decide to do it...It will look great. I bobbed a 200mm Fatboy fender for my conversion and it looks very similar.
