Did V&H ever make short shots in black? I want a set but all they sell are chrome.

No, V&H discontinued them (99-06 model years) before they started investing in black exhausts.. I think i've seen other manufacturers that make them like that in black, but not V&H. Otherwise you'd have to ship the heat shields out to the powdercoater

If you really want a set you can always get a chrome set and have them ceramic coated in black.
That way they don't rust or change color and run a little cooler, on the outside.

Black short shots are like the most common pipes and you couldn't find them? They are everywhere!
