Default 103B advertised fuel mileage. Accurate?

Im taking ownership of a '13 Fatty early next month. Just curious how close the combined city highway mileage of 42mpg listed in the brochure is.

Has anyone tested just city mileage and same for just highway mpg?
Im sure mostly highway would net more. and the opposite true for mostly city.
And of course riding style has some affect in the individual results.

42 sounds reasonable to me. Your results may vary.

I keep a spreadsheet of all expenses including gas and mileage.
I'm averaging 36 (mostly) around town.

I get a solid 40 MPG with 50% of my miles highway, and 50% city.

The 96", after a proper tuning with a Stage I kit, I averaged something like 44-46mpg.

Honestly I don't think anyone who buys or owns a HD really cares about mileage.
Don't get me wrong I like to stretch my $ as far as I can but it is the inner smiles I get that's the most important and the most come when I crack that throttle.

I was just curious. If it was a deciding factor on whether or not i purchased a HD, I would ve researched such topic prior to putting over 18K down on one.

I totally agree with the inner smiles while cracking the throttle.

I average 42-44.... Haven't got to ride a tank out since the new cams and exhaust, so I can't comment on that
