I want loud Pipes!!!!!
I have a 2007 Nightrain, I recently installed V&H Big Radious pipes on it. Its loud but not loud enough for my taste. Do these pipes have baffels? Can they be removed to make them louder and will it affect the performance? Any one done this before? Or does anyone know what I can do to make my pipes louder?

Yes, the Big Radius have baffles. They are removable, however doing so will kill your low and mid range hp/tq, not to mention allow more air flow which could lean out your A/F ratio. My advise would be to change your pipes to something louder, or Big City Thunder make "Thundermonster Baffles" that are "supposed" to give you the "No Baffle" sound, without the loss of power and back pressure. I've never used them but my brother in law has them in his metric and his pipes are plenty loud. And they do make applications for the Big Radius pipes, check their site.

I looked at both the Big Radius and the Big Shot Staggered, I loved the look of the Raidus pipes, but I wanted loud pipes too. I was also told by the dealer that I may lose a little performance with the Radius pipes, therefore I decided on the Staggered. I removed the baffels and I never had a performance problem with the bike. But then again never, say never.

All you have to do is look at the length. The shorter the pipe, the louder it will become.
Also, the shorter the pipe, the more low end torque you will lose. Reversion is unavoidable with short pipes.
If you want really loud, change the cam to a SE 204.
That'll turn up the volume in a BIG way..

I have the big radius on my night train as well and I didnt think they were that loud either. That was until I swapped rides and rode next to my bike. Jeez those things are loud. The way the shoot down and away its tough to judge how loud they really are when you are riding.
