That's pretty weak... And I thought Sportsters were girls bikes... Kidding!

I agree with one of the first responses, they are steering you. Tell them you'll take the Heritage for $7,000 less than the Deluxe since they're so eager to get rid of it. If they give you any ****, tell them buying a bike you obviously aren't interested in is just as stupid as your offer.

Unless the salesman are offering to buy you a bike just tell them what you want and they will sell it to you. In this economy they cannot afford not to sell you the bike you want. I think the underline question might be which one is better in which case the answer would be neither. It comes down to preference. Do you prefer the strip down sexy looking softail deluxe or the elegant, classic bagger heritage. I picked the heritage for touring with my wife and I love the way heritage looks.

Maybe they are trying to do right by you. I like both but I think I would go with a Heritage because it has the bags & windshield.

now that my Rocker has been payed off when I pick up another sled it's gonna be a Deluxe. I can not get enough of that bike man. It's bad *** in an old school kind of way.

Go for the Luxe, tell those dopes to go fly a kite.

He is telling the truth for a change. With the heritage you get a windshield and bags which are both removable. There are a few differences in appearance but if you are going to want bags and a shield you get them for the same price.

But if you gotta have a Deluxe it is certainly understanding.

I'm a fat old guy and I love my Deluxe. But you do get all extras w/ the heritage, and higher bars if you like them. I find the seating position on the Deluxe perfect for me...

The studs on the Heritage are a no go for me...get the deluxe, order bags that aren't studded to death and install a windshield...I love the deluxe too...

I agree, if you could get it without all of the "gawdy" studs it might be worth looking at.

Go for the Deluxe!

From another short, fat, old guy.
