I love the blacked out motor. Great job !What did you use? But i do like the flame paint set better. Just my preference

Wow, those tins look great, and even though I am a silver engine guy I think it turned out spectacular. Being a Shovelhead lover from way back, silver has always been my favorite but I have long wanted to black out my jugs in true Shovel style. You might have inspired me with that wicked job you did.

Looks good but Im a fan of the silver motor. Going to install black jugs off of a crossbones latter this month.

I used thin fine line tape to cover the.fins...I spent about 10hrs taping the moter off

I'm the same way. I like the silver motor the best. Unfortunately it wasn't an option for any bike I was looking at when I bought mine.
Regardless, at least you did a good job masking and spraying. Hopefully it'll resist those rock strikes as well as the factory wrinkle black so you aren't left with chips all over the motor
