As far as customizing the stock seat....I have heard a few horror stories from those gel inserts getting hot and bursting and/or leaking.

I would just like to ride a whole day without my tailbone screaming bloody murder.

Also, for the guys with the Mustangs, do they move your legs out any?

I suffer from the short inseam problem....lol
I had my seat done by Meancity as well. I did not have the gel inset but had the double decker memory foam done. Had the front of the seat narrowed a bit and rider position lowered 1" moved back 1.5" and a tailbone relief channel added. It's an all day seat now. Cost was $150 plus shipping.

I like the Corbin seats (kinda hard-but GREAT lwr back supt)
Just bought one off of a forum mbr. Nice seat.
Puts me looking thru my recurve (LRS) and right in the
blast zone.

Did 800 miles in one day on mine. *** was numb for a week. Made it from Ca to Idaho on it. Ordered a Mustang in idaho and proceded to Montana and picked up my seat at my freinds house in Idaho on my way back. Had my LePara shipped back to my house.

I've had Mustangs on several different bikes always liked them best of the aftermarkets i've tried.

I have to say if a backrest isn't a must that i prefer the sprung seats though they just eat up the road.

I'm older, and may need some extra padding but I've been riding since 1968 and have sat on a lot of different seats. I have to say that I am quite impressed with the Mustang wide vintage, made a big difference for me, bad back and all.

Went to the International Bike show here in Indy over the weekend and spoke to the folks over at Mustang. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the saddles the were displaying.

If I wasn't looking to add the backrest, I think having MeanCity redo the foam would be the way to go. But I am pretty much sold on the Mustang at this point, and based on the high feedback on the forum, it may be the right choice.

Thanks again
