Default Softail Slim with 200mm Rear Tire Question

I am new to the Softail family and before I make my choice on what Softail model I shall buy I wanted to ask if anyone knows if a 200mm tire is just a direct fit to the 2013 Slim.
Is it just to replace the rim and rear fender to put a 200 on a 2013 Softail Slim?
Anyone has pictures is appreciated>>>>>>>>

Not a direct fit. If you want a wide tire either get that and a Heartland kit or an FXST or Fatboy. The slim has been designed to have a narrow rear tire hence the name slim.

The swingarm is said to be the same. I believe you need wheel/tire and fender/struts. Possibly a pulley.

Do a few searches here. One guy was able to fitter a wider than stock tire on the Slim without mods. Not a 200 though, but the look changed nicely, IMHO.

It still looked "Slim" but had a little curve to it.

yeah you won't fit the 200 without a new swingarm, offset kit for the tranny, etc etc. But if you like the slim, the FatBoy Lo isn't far off.. same basic front end, different tank trim, different seat, and different air cleaner cover

Here's a thread where "Softslim" managed to fit a Dunlop GT502 150-80B-16 tire on the rear of a Slim without modifications...

Well thanks a lot all of you for the info. One other question would be if anyone rides with his wife or chick and can share his taughts about the ride.
Is the Softail Slim comfortable for a two up ride?

I recently added the rear pillon with no sissy bar...really didn't wanna mess with the bike's look...it's fine for short rides and she's never complained....

With regards to the rear tire...I've thought about it and I agree to a lot of people the slim does have a much smaller tire...but it does work to accentuate the fat tank and gives the bike a nice curvy look if that makes sense...

I will probably try to add a slightly fatter tire though in the future...

Don't forget that the smaller rear tire makes for a better handling bike in my opinion, and especially around town...just my 2 cents

..not to mention that a fatter tire may result in a loss of overall traction due to the same weight now being spread out over a larger footprint.
No wonder those old VW bugs were so good in the snow...
