Really? Always thought a fatter tire = more traction, better on curves.
What good is a fatter tire then? (Besides that some prefer the looks.)

I do also agree the really big tires like over 250 have a tendency to corner a little rougher than a smaller tire but if small/thin tire was better then the race bikes would all be running skinny rear tires on the moto gp circuit they usually run 190-205 width tires.

I am not expert here in tire and gripping action but read an article that said the bigger the contact patch your tire surface has with the road the better the traction. and I agree that only a small percentage of the rounded sruface touches at one time I still have to believe that a wider tire has a slightly wider contact patch.

I am new to the Softail family and before I make my choice on what Softail model I shall buy I wanted to ask if anyone knows if a 200mm tire is just a direct fit to the 2013 Slim.
Is it just to replace the rim and rear fender to put a 200 on a 2013 Softail Slim?
Anyone has pictures is appreciated>>>>>>>>

I'd say NO to fitting a 200 rear tire in there..
A Slim rear tire is a MU 85 which is a 140-90-16
My Heritage which is a 150-80-16 wont even accept most 180 size tire LET alone a 200 mm tire..
rule of thumb is U can go over 1 size and still be safe on not having Issue's with the new bigger size..
I now have installed the New Michelin's Commander II's which is a 160-80-16, but, It's actually narrower than the Lops 150-80-16 that is the stock tire while being a tad bit Taller on the rim..
To install a 200 tire on Ur rear U'll have to change out the rear swing-arm and probably more stuff to be safe. And it wont be cheap to do all that..

Listen i Love the Slim its got great syle!! But i sat on one and the way its set up from the factory its not comfy! Deff not good for 2 up the way its set up.. I own a Fatboy Lo and its got very similar style but way more comfy and better for 2 up! If your worried about spoke wheels and good 2 up and wide rear tire? Go get a Fatboy Lo and install spoke wheels and a round filter cover! walla all done and youll have exactly what you want and easier to get there!
