If you don't want to get into a converston at every gas stop, every bike night, every trip to the dealership, almost every time you take it out, don't buy a springer. If however you would like to ride a really cool scooter, can't go wrong with a springer.
That is certainly true. My pit stops take twice as long because people always come over and talk about the bike. I'm not complaining.
