Good to know, I have the box for my 39" sitting here in the living room waiting to be installed. Any and all tips and pictures are greatly appreciated.

Remember Vance&Hines is a performance based company something tells me thats not the first thing on samson's list when they build pipes, like somebody said i dont think the guy running 39's or 42's is worried about performance!!

So, the V&H crossover pipe is not a smaller diameter or indented where it crosses over the trans. under the coil and over the shifter? Does it have a 2 1/4" heat shield in that area?

the difference between the vance&hines and samson rear exhaust header is the V&H has been squished into more of an oval than circular to fit through there with no problems of hitting the shift linkage or the coil. I have had both systems on my bike

That's what I was thinking. I just wanted someone to verify it.

Motown, hopefully these pics will help ya out. The only complaint I have about the Samson system are those black brackets they send with it. It just doesn't make sense to me and I imagine plenty of others. You sell someone a chrome system that even comes with a replacement chrome shifter but then you want to send those ugly azz black brackets. They are available chrome but they want to charge you extra for something that should have been included in the first place.
BTW: I don't wanna hear no **** about my dirty bike.

Do the V&H headers mount to the Samsons pretty well?

My Samson pipes are on order. I am relocating my coil and getting rid of the faux seat post anyway, so that is a non-issue.

However, I did not realize that I would not be able to use my custom shift linkage. I may end up bending it to mimic the one the Samson sends with the pipes.

I bent my linkage to work with Samsons and my foot clutch. Heat and bend.
