Samson Legend Series fishtails on A Deluxe?
I really like the looks of these pipes http://www.samsonusa.com/S3-911.html and the fact that the baffles are removable but I am not sure they fit the look on a Deluxe. They look fantastic on the Cross Bones and I think they would look perfect for the Slim.
I am trying to decide which way to go for my Deluxe and would like to know the opinion of others. My other choice in pipes would be the Samson true duals Longtails http://www.samsonusa.com/S3-433.html
Performance is not paramount. I am 50 years old and just want to look good going down the road. All opinions are wanted and appreciated.

I have to say that it seems that everybody and their brother has true duals with fishtails on their Deluxe lately. If you dig the look of the fishtails on the right side, go with it. It's OK to be different than everyone else. I have Chopper Longtails on my Fatboy and haven't seen another like it. And you can't beat the sound, no matter which style you go with! Good luck!!!

The heat on the left side is one of my concerns with the true duals. I have a 31 inch inseam and am thinking in the summer heat it would be bothersome. How loud are the Legends with the 10" baffles? I like to hit the road early during the summer and don't want the neighbors hating on me than they already do.

I have to agree with several points made;
1. I am not fond of both fishtails on the same side. I prefer the True Dual Crossovers.
2. The sound of the Samson pipes is phenomenal
3. Screw what everybody else says and go with your gut and what you like.
I chose the 28.5" TD Crossover fishtails instead of longtails, Samson model S3-431. Others will likely inform you that the size of your manhood is directly proportional to the length of the Samson pipes. Meaning, 28.5" pipes are great but you should look at the 33's, appreciate the 36's, love the 39's and purchase the 42's. I chose the 28.5's because the old school bikes of the 40's and 50's didn't have long pipes.
Whatever you choose will look great and sound even better. Besides, as far as manhood is concerned, you've heard size doesn't matter.

If all your looking for is a nice loud set of right side fishtails, don't pay $750 bucks for a complete system. Just install a set of chrome fishtail extensions on the existing factory head pipes. Thats all I did. I ordered the 36 inch extension kit for 100 bucks, a couple extra clamps and little time in the garage and I had dual fishtails. Don't get me wrong, I love Samson and I will be switching to 36 inch long tails this summer. But if thats all your wanting, extensions will work and sound great.
