Default Recommendations for "Quiet" Pipes

I'm looking to upgrade my intake and pipes, but the police in my neighborhood are very hard on guys with loud bikes. I understand that anything I get is going to be louder, but does anybody have any recommendation for pipes that will be less restrictive, but not obnoxiously loud?

Try these on for size. V&H propipe chrome. 2>1 They sound great but far from obnoxious. I think they look great too.

Take a look at American Custom Exhaust, they are a sponsor here. They have a quiet baffle and modify your current mufflers. Any baffle larger then 1.5" will be loud. The factory screaming eagle mufflers are also quiet.

+1 on the SE slip ons. Nice rumble, not too loud. On my Softail, I've had the V&H BR 2:2, (loud), D&D Fatcat (louder) and now some V&H slip-ons with the quiet baffle (just right).

Got the V&H with quiet baffle and added the Smartpartz baffle to it.

Khrome Werks 3" HP Tapered. They look just like the stock and have a nice deep rumble. Not nearly as loud as any of the Vance and Hines but definetly louder than stock.

Default Bassani Road Rage 2-1.

The Bassani Road Rage 2-1 pipe is really good. The sound is louder than stock but it is NOT to loud. Had V&H Short shots on our Sporty and those puppies where LOUD. Nice rumble at idle and when you open them up it gets even deeper but it doesn't pi$$ off the people next to you in there cage.
Here is a clip of the Bassani's on our bike:

All of those sound great. Will the Harley dealer install non SE stuff, or do I have to go to a performance shop for that?

Nothing difficult in installing a different exhaust. Given the right tools (basic stuff) and enough space/time, just simple bolt on.

Make sure you got the appropriate gaskets to go between the exhaust and the cylinder head, and unplug the O2 sensors before you unscrew them.

V&H Monster Ovals. A little loader than stock, nice deep tone, still make good power.
