Which bars did you order and what size? Be sure to post pics when they are on. I am thinking of the Carlini Flying apes myself.

Going with the 13" Gangster apes and you bet I'll post pics.

Nope.
Only even been to TO once in my life and once to Halifax. Doubt I'll ever go East again, not the hospitality there is here out West sorry to say.

I am also vertically challenged at 5'6". I went with the 12" Carlini Flyin Apes. Carlini's usually measure a little more thatn their stated height and these actually measure around 13.5". This puts the grips right at shoulder height which is arguably the most comfortable position. Several factors can come into play such as seat height/position, riser height, even leg position. I have back and shoulder problems from a couple of accidents and needed maximum comfort. These bars gave me just that.

I used the eyes closed method. Sit on your bike in the most comfortable position, close your eyes, raise your arms to their most comfortable postion, open your eyes and that's where you want your bars. Bars are subjective and everyone is different. Some want maximum coolness over comfort. I chose maximum comfort.

Either way you can't go wrong with the Carlini's!

Lookie what I got in the mail Friday

Carlini 13" Gangsters

Couldn't wait any longer so got into the shop first thing this morning
Here's a shot of the difference in grip position
The Carlini's are about 5" flatter than what I had

From this

To this

Here's the "test fit" while the switches are all apart, etc

So they're labeled as 13's but actually measure around 14/14-1/2", buttoned up and ready for the snow to melt now

Yup, this is me all happy happy happy

Here is what I did to fix my windshield after installing my apes! Put about 4000 miles so far with it that way and had zero problems. HTH!

Thanks yzergod, I'll get to playin' with some ideas.
I may space it 1-1/4" at the top and 3/4" at the bottom to start and go from there.
I've got a bit of time before my first actual road trip with it in August and I want the windshield cause it's a 2000 mile round trip
