does anyone that has one of these know how wide they are? are they any good? i read a lot of good and bad things about gel seats.

14" at the widest part. I will be selling mine as soon as I get pics.it's too hard for my skinny ***,and needed to get a 2-up seat. Uh-just realized I'm in the softail forum.Mine's for a bagger...

 

I've had a saddlemen seat with gel. It is hard but believe it or not my *** didn't hurt after 100 miles. I didn't like the look though so replaced it with a couple of Le Peras

 

I have the Saddlemen renegade solo on my Metric bike, its good for a couple of hours riding. Although the Softail is a completely different beast, so i'm unsure of how it looks or feels.
Also considering the Drag specialties solo, HD Brawler, Danny Gray speedcradle.

 

Only just seen this thread. I bought a Saddlemen seat for my '96 Softail and I don't like it. the quality and comfort are good but it doesn't sit right on the fender. I'd go for a different make next time.

 

Had one on my metric. I found the saddle comfortable enough for my small a**, as in 2+ hours at a time. One drawback to any gel seat: don't leave them in the sun too long. The gel gets smokin hot, and takes a while to cool down.

Is there a way to tell the vinyl from the leather in a pic of the Brawler?
