I just tried to install the heritage signal bar on the old fender of my fatboy: I was concerned about mounting it not leveled so I spent some time taking measurements with masking tape. When I finally drilled the two 5/16" holes I noticed that on the inner side the fender has a square sheet of metal with two holes right where I drilled mines. I checked on the new fatboy fender I have and that, too, has the same additional sheet of metal with two holes. They probably manufacture all the fenders the same way and they just don't make the signal bar indentations on the fatboy's fender. I need to double check, but I think that drilling the holes on the fender right where the existing holes in the additional inner sheet of metal should be right where you need them. I'll work on the bike this weekend, I'll confirm it then...

In any case, I confirm that it is possible to mount the heritage signal bar on the fatboy fender, even if the fender doesn't have the same indentations of the heritage.

Same thing here with my fatboy, but I wanted the Deluxe light bar. Little bit of measuring, drill some holes for mounting bolts and wires... and voila!

Have since acquired a Deluxe rear fender and taillight to paint this winter.

I mounted the heritage signal bar on my old fatboy fender today, to check how it fits. It took me a while playing with masking tape to determine where to drill the two 5/16" holes. Once I drilled the holes I realized that in the inner side of the fender there was an additional square sheet of metal with two holes approximately in the same position of the holes I drilled. I checked the new fatboy fender I have and that one, too, has this additional square sheet of metal with two holes. These are probably the holes for the indentations for the signal bar of the heritage. They probably manufacture all the fenders the same way and for the fatboy they just don't make the indentations....

Thanks wmproof. I just realized I need to drill the holes for the wires... Where are they usually on the heritage...anyone knows?

There are two holes for the wires, about 3/8" diameter, tucked directly behind the light bar, spaced about 1/3 of the way in from each side. Both holes are not needed, one hole in the center would suffice imo.

Removed my bar 2012 & installed 68615-04. Now it looks like a motorcycle not a bus pulling into the school yard.

Awesome! Now that's the next $138.58 (Surdyke w/shipping) that I will be spending! Do you know if the smoke covers for the regular deluxe signals will fit this?
