I imagine you could get just the sliders done for around $50-60, covers maybe another $10-20.

What headlight bezel is that?

That's nice man. I agree satin is a mean yet classy look. I've slowly got rid of most of the gloss and chrome. All is left it the wheels and frame in gloss.

Saying that I'm stripping it and changing almost everything on the bike again and doing the frame and tins a satin color and keeping the rest (motor/box/springer/bars/wheels) full satin black.

If it were me (and I have done this a couple times now), I would pay the extra money to do powder coat. You can do gloss, semi gloss, flat, satin, & hammered finishes - and with good searching, you will probably find someone advertising on craigslist who does it at a good price. I found a guy locally who builds hot-rods, restores bicycles, and has a powder coating business set up in his garage. I brought a full trunk of parts to him, and walked away from it. A week later, and $275, I had all the pieces I wanted to powder coat (55 total, I think). So, at $5/piece.. For me it was worth it. I didn't have to do anything except a little R&R, and it was much, much more durable than rattle can. Usually, I am the kind of guy that will spend $5 three times to fix a $10 item.. But in this case, pay the money, get it done right, and you won't have to worry about it. Just my $.02. A few pics of the Dark Knight:

All done, before the sale..

Love the darkside.... My bike's a Dyna but has quite a bit of black. Adding a black contrast cut pulley this week with matching two piece rotors. Have some chrome for a little of contrast.

Love the pics everyone. I'd love to powder coat some bits and pieces on my slim.
