did anybody ever actually do this? i've got a hot rod shop lined up to tackle my slim but i'd kinda like to know how the seat issues worked out. i plan on having the shop smooth and fill the stock holes and fit it to my slim's struts but i want to be sure the fender sits low on the tire like 24's blackline does. since i'm using the slim strut you think i'll be able to keep my stock seat (hey, i love the oem seat!) while keeping the fender looking tight???

btw i'm on the hunt for a fender now, otherwise i'd **** with it and see for myself. i'm just getting anxious, the bike is almost where i want it.

Well, looking at 24V's bike it looks like it would work. I did something different. I bought a Deluxe rear fender, Deluxe struts, and a Lepera silhouette deluxe seat for a narrow tire softail.

Local shop stretched the rear fender and filled the tombstone hole. A considerable amount of fabrication was required. But in your case, looking at the pic of 24V's bike, it looks like you could use the stock seat and struts. Not sure how the Deluxe fender brackets will work with the Slim struts, but I am guessing the shop can figure it out.

That fender was never done on that bike. It was an older Deluxe fender as I like the round shape under the struts better. I drilled it to fit with the stock seat and struts. Just needed to get the old holes filled and the fender painted. Never did it before I got rid of the bike.

Love the fender changes on the slim. Keep the photos coming.
