Are there any softail slim owners out there that are looking to replace their rear wheel with one off of my '08 crossbones? I like the look of the smaller rear wheel, and would be willing to trade you for yours. Anybody know how difficult the swap would be?

 

I believe whoever has the Slim or Blackline(both have same rear section) would have to have the struts and rear fender for the wide tire also.

 

That could be part of the deal too. My plan is to mount the 140 rear wheel/tire off of a blackline or slim onto my crossbones, then build a fender around that set up. So, my stock rear fender and struts were gonna go on ebay. Anybody with a blackline or slim want a wider rear tire/wheel?

 

Is your crossbones a black rim wheel also? I am working on a "slim" project bike and may be interested. As someone stated the rear struts also need swapped out to make the wider tire fit. My bike has only 1600 miles on it.

Yeah, it's black with chrome spokes and has around 4,000 miles on the tire/rim. It's the stock rim off of a 2008 Crossbones, what year is the slim you're working on? I was planning on putting the struts and fender on eBay, but I'm sure we can figure something out.

 

I have a set of wheels off a 2010 CROSSBONES and a brand new stock Dunlop for the rear wheel. 8,000 miles on the wheels,normal wear and tear with 2 small scratches on the front wheel. 0 miles on the tire. Interested ?

 

I'm gonna take a shot at the trade, but if that doesn't work out I'll let you know.
