Oil Cooler
#2
I just put the Standard (no fan) HD cooler on 3 weeks ago, cant really say how well it works because the temp hasn’t gotten to a point where the thermostat opens (185 degrees)
Installation went quick and no leaks. This model may not be the best out there but it will offer a level of protection. If you are setting in traffic a lot I would lean toward one with the fan assist option.

I just posted this on another thread that was just started up a few days ago. I have an 06 Deluxe and I put the Harley oil cooler on it, part # 26157-07 and I couldn't be happier with it. I always try to stay with original Harley or SE parts when I can. I ride with a few guys, 1 has an oil bud and the other a 10 row Jag. My bike is always right there with them if not cooler. I like it because it has the new internal "turbulators" in them which helps seperate and drip the oil over them better and the thermostate on it that opens at 185 degree's. I also disagree with anyone who says that an oil cooler without a fan in stop and go traffic does not cool. That is wrong, it add's volume to the oil capacity and it also adds surface area to aid in cooling as well. When in traffic we noticed no difference in temps between my buddies oil bud and mine even though his has a fan on it.

When it gets really hot out, a fan equipped setup will cool the oil and the engine with it better/faster.
The flip side is that before you get into heat or traffic that bad.
Your probably going to notice the bike starting to fry important parts of your anatomy.
At least they will be important if you want to have kids someday.

While your not likely to see much if any difference normally.
