haha sorry for the wait! I was out with the misses all day finishing up X-mas shopping and visiting the butcher. anyhow, Fritz second ticket. not nearly as exciting as the first.

there was a group of about seven of us leaving the Hulett/devils tower area and heading back towards sturgis on 24/34. Fritz likes to "sight-see" whiles hes riding, so without knowing it, he will fall WAY behind, and then spend the next 5 minutes playing catch up at various speeds. there are some nice little uphill twisties heading east on 24/34 and a a group we were riding pretty fast anyways. speed limit was like 65mph for the most part, and we were cruising at 80 easily. Fritz is busy in LaLa land, when the group passed a pontiac G8 with a lightbar on top, going WAY to fast. the cop was facing the other direction on the shoulder, and whipped it around just in time to pull behind Fritz as hes trying to catch up to the group. Fritz and I both pulled over, and the rest of the group bails on us like a bunch of teenagers running from the cops as a kegger.

Cop comes around and says he got the "group" going 83 in a 65 area, but because Fritz was far enough away from the pack to be targeted solo, he got tagged at 88 trying to catch up again. He didn't write me a citation, but wrote Fritz for 79 in a 65. All in all he got off pretty easy both times. neither ticket required an appearance, and both were under 300$. while cashing out for speeding sucks, at least it wasnt a night in jail!
