My front 130/70 -18 Metzler are cupping "bad". I just ordered a E-3 Dunlop to replace it.

Running Avon Venoms on my FLSTCI for about six years now (not the same ones!), and I have never had any tracking issues on grooved pavement on any California freeways. The one knock against Avons (aside from their price) is that they don't wear well. But as others have noted, the culprit is underinflation. If you use the recommended pressures from the manual, which are intended for the stock tires, you'll be lucky to get 3000 out of a rear. According to an Avon engineer I spoke with a few years ago, they recommend around 40 psi in the front and 44 in the rear. Using those numbers, I'll easily get 8000 miles from a rear and nearly twice that from a front, doing mostly highway cruising at 70-75 mph.

Ok its between the Avon Venoms or the Metzler me 880's But the real big question is should I go with the blackwalls now that I have hard bags? or stick with the white walls? The bags won't be coming off so what do you think???

IMHO, WWW tires always add that little touch of class to them and the bike. As you can see though I may be a bit biased too.

With your bike having a distinct Black/White theme going on from what I can tell from your sig pic. Why would you NOT do WWW's is my question? Black/White bike -> Black/White bags -> Black/White tires seems like a reasonable way to go IMHO

Actually it's blue and white but one big reason is they are a pain in the *** to clean! Plus I think I lost the nostalgic theme when I put the hard bags on...after many reviews I think I'm going to take a shot on the Michelin commander II if this doesn't work well...I will have some football targets.
