Default D&M Spear Series Air Cleaner

Hey Guys, I'm in the process of trying to figure out what air cleaner I want to run on my '07 Train. I really like the look of the D&M spear but wasn't sure if I would be sacrificing performance for style. Is/ Has anyone out there ran with one? If so, how have you found it performs? Looking forward to getting some feedback. Cheers

I got a D&M custom air cleaner not the spiked one but a power flow and i gotta tell ya iv'e had it about 8 years now and it makes a big difference don't ask me about dyno's or warping time but had the origional Harley cleaner on then changed it to the D&M and the difference is very noticeable ..... there not cheap but worth every penny and the chrome is still as good after 8 years as it was when i bought it there are a few American companys who could learn about chromeing from them ( Harley, Ness, Cyclesmiths, kuryakyn) don't ask how i know ..... love the look of the spike one that's got the twist in it hopes this helps ya ....

For sure it does man thanks. Its definitely not an air cleaner you see too often and I'm just not sure if that's because of price or performance. At first I was plannin on goin with the SE heavy breather but like I said the looks of the D&M would fit the theme I'm going for a lot better. Wonder if there's anyone out there that has ran both the D&M and a SE Heavy breather.....decisions decisions....lol

I'd bet the performance is about the same. I chose the SE for it's looks.
Unless you have a heavy modified engine, I doubt you'd see any difference between the two choices.

Well for what it's worth i'm sure they are quite close performance wise but for me it has to be the D&M cleaner it has the STYLE and the COST but custom don't come cheap ..... Also everytime i look at that SE heavy breather to me it's kinda shaped like a bell end that's gettin to much blood to it (looks deformed) ......

Some good points fellas. Personally, I don't mind the look of the the SE heavy breather and its good to hear a little feedback about performance from both sides. It sounds like it'll end up being a case of being stoked about the performance and visual upgrade once I crack and jus accept the price lol. Cheers
