Rear Tire/Front Tire
#12
Thanks for the replies everyone! To answer a previous question, my bike has a few mods done to it. Cams, 95" motor, SE air cleaner. It makes good power.
All in all, I have been happy with the Dunlop tires, just kinda testing the waters on what everyone else likes. Is buying a tire online a pretty standard practice. Hell of a lot cheaper than the dealer right?

I prefer a stickier tire with more round than a Dunlop. I find the Dunlops to be quite flat in the center leaving me having to push the bike through corners more than I like to. Mileage will not usually be as good on an Avon or Metzeler (although you do need to run the pressure a bit higher in either) but for me it is always worth it due to the way that they ride. Another tire that I really like is the Michelin Commander II but it only comes in certain sizes at this point in time.
Everyone has their preferences but it is my personal opinion that stock tires on any bike will never ride the best. They may get better mileage than some others but I'll take a few less miles on a sticky round tire (they are all round, aren't they?) any day of the week. Stock tires are one of the first things to go on any bike that I buy that still has them on it.
