My 09 heritage was leaking at the tank drain elbow also. I changed out the top clamp for a worm clamp and it caused the elbow to split after the oil got hot. Luckily I was stopped when it let go. I think I tightened it up too much.

 

Buy the updated hose. It is all one piece now. Once I got it off I could tell it was leaking from where the elbow went into the rubber part. Crappy design.

 

Sounds and looks like I have this same leak on my 03 Screaming Eagle Deuce. I guess I need to replace with upgraded part. Any #s available?

 

My advice would be to use worm clamps.
